Dana’s Margarita Pie

My  good friend, Dana, brought this no-bake margarita pie to the potluck dinner given by The Polish Pottery Outlet. Dana is always tons of fun, and she was so hopeful this refreshing dessert would win the competition. No doubt, she was in the running with this intoxicating taste treat.

CRUST

1 1/2 Cups finely crushed pretzels
10 Tablespoons butter (melted)
1/4 cup of sugar

Mix well and press onto a 9 inch Polish Pottery pie plate with handles as your crust.

FILLING

1 cup ( 1/2 pint ) whipping cream- whipped until stiff
Fold In:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup lime juice
2 – 4 Tablespoons Tequila
2 Tablespoons Grand Marnier

Refrigerate  until you are ready to serve.
Guru Tips:
This creamy pie would be the perfect ending to a Mexican dinner party. I would serve this pie on chilled Polish Pottery Dessert Plates.  At The Polish Pottery Outlet we carry small round  and small squares in the perfect dessert size.
Traditional, Unikat, and Signature Patterns are available. One very popular Unikat pattern perfect for Mexican fare is “Fiesta.” Its colorful peachy blossoms surround a sea of rich blue, making an appealing background for any meal. If you chill this dish, it will keep the pie cold while you are serving it.  You will love this stoneware whether you are baking or just serving out of it!
A wide variety  of  patterns are available at The Polish Pottery Outlet in the Denver Metro Area, just north of Old Littleton off of Santa Fe and Oxford.
We also have a website if you can’t come visit us in person.
